The Annual Licence is one of a range of copyright products, designed to facilitate Auctioneers, Valuers and Estate Agents and their use of OSi data in property leaflets and brochures.
Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) maps, data and publications are copyright Ordnance Survey Ireland and Government of Ireland and are protected under the terms of the Copyright Acts.
Anyone wishing to reproduce OSi material, or use it as a basis for their new publications, must obtain a licence from OSi.
The Annual Licence covers reproduction of OSi data in the normal course of business for the period of one year. This eliminates the necessity to apply to OSi for permission every time OSi maps, aerial photography or data are used in promotional property brochures, property leaflets or newspapers.
Licence Benefits
The Annual Licence permits Estate Agents, Valuers and Auctioneers to use Ordnance Survey Ireland material in the following ways:
- Make copies for use within the business environment.
- Publish in property promotional material.
- Publish on the internet map extracts not exceeding 200cm2 at source scale.
- Reproduce facsimile copies for attachment to promotional material.
- Advertise properties in National or Regional newspapers.
