Architects Engineers and Surveyors AR1
The Annual Copyright Licence is one of a range of copyright products, designed to facilitate Architects, Engineers and Surveyors requirements when using OSi mapping data and aerial photography in the course of their business.
Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) maps, data and publications are copyright Ordnance Survey Ireland and Government of Ireland and are protected under the terms of the Copyright Acts.
Anyone wishing to reproduce OSi material, or use it as a basis for their own publications, must obtain a licence from OSi.
The Annual Licence covers reproduction of OSi data in the normal course of business for the period of one year. This eliminates the necessity to apply to OSi for copyright permission every time OSi maps, aerial photography or data are reproduced.
Licence Benefits
The Annual Licence permits Architects Engineers and Surveyors to use Ordnance Survey Ireland and Government of Ireland copyright material in the following ways:
- Make copies for use within the business environment;
- Reproduce and combine OSi material with other data in development work;
- Submit planning applications, reports, way leave applications etc.;

Licence fees are based on the number of people in the firm using the copying licence.
